Kavurga is known as a traditional Turkish snack. This mixture, which is filling and rich in protein, is believed to have arrived in Anatolia with the Turks and is thought to have been consumed for thousands of years. Believed to aid digestion, this food is enjoyed as a snack. The product can also be eaten by mixing it with yogurt and salads, making for satisfying light meals. Kavurga is a mixture of roasted nuts and seeds. It may contain wheat, corn, watermelon seeds, terebinth (menengiç) seeds, almonds, hazelnuts, cashews, pumpkin seeds, and flax seeds. While the contents of mixed kavurga vary depending on seasonal harvests and regions, it is most commonly consumed in winter due to its nutritional value.
