Before cooking, you can soak the quinoa in regular or alkaline water for half an hour and then rinse it, or you can wash it thoroughly under running water. After placing the drained quinoa in a pot, add 1.5-2 cups of hot water for every cup of quinoa, bring to a boil, and then cook on low heat with the lid closed. Once cooked in 10-15 minutes, let the quinoa rest with the lid closed for 15-20 minutes without stirring. It should be stored in a cool, moisture-free place away from direct sunlight.
