Description
One of the most consumed dishes in Turkish cuisine, kuru fasulye (white beans) can be cooked to perfection using Yayla Dermason Beans. These beans are also excellent for salads like piyaz. Highly rich in protein and B vitamins, Dermason beans are an excellent source of dietary fiber and possess prebiotic properties. They are grown in the cities of Erzincan, Konya, Kayseri, Niğde, Malatya, Tokat, and Kahramanmaraş. It is recommended to soak the beans in cold water for 10–12 hours before cooking. Boiling for 30–40 minutes in a standard pot or 15 minutes in a pressure cooker is sufficient. Containing thiamine, potassium, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, iron, and zinc, this product is classified as a "superfood" by Migros.
